Coaching in Canterbury

There are qualified coaches in most clubs and in addition coaching is also provided by senior players. With new members, especially for Association Croquet, it is customary for clubs to provide a number of lessons to enable them to take part in club play.

Coaching is offered at the start of each season for both Association and Golf players at the United Club. Coaches are senior players able to provide help with both practical skills and ther tactics of the games of croquet.

A CCA coaching squad of players interested in competitive play is organised each season. Coaching is offered by senior players as part of a programme to assist these players with improving their skills and knowledge of the game.

Individual and small group coaching in clubs is available on request. Approaches may be made directly to senior players or through Rodger Lane - the CCA Coaching Coordinator.
