Edgeware has lost its club house and one large lawn
as a result of the 2011 earthquakes. The future of this club
is under discussion along with that of the neighbouring bowls
club which also had significant damage.
While the Council would like to gain more area
for St Albans Park, the Edgeware Club is hoping to be able to
restore its damaged lawn and maintain its use of the area along
with its membership of 34 players. The club is curently playing
on two smaller lawns but lacks a club house. $30,000 was quoted
as the cost of restoring their third standard lawn.
