Kaiapoi Croquet Club

This club has been badly damaged by the Earthquake on the 4th September and will be out of action for the 2010-11 season. The information below about playing times should be discounted for this period.

The club hopes to re-establish itself on the same site with the assistance of the Waimakariri Council. In the meantime there are limited playing opportunities on uneven ground.
The club continues playing on lawns which are uneven. The Waimak Council had agreed the club should have 3 lawns using space vacated by the neighbouring bowls club, but this was conditional on bowls finding an alternate area for their greens and Rangiora Club agreeing to combine with them. Neither condition has yet been met and the future of the club on the site depends on the stability of the ground.

Location:

The Kaiapoi Croquet Club is found over the stopbank off Raven Quay which runs along the South side of the Kaiapoi River. Head North along Williams Street (the main street through the town centre) and turn left at the Blackwells Department Store corner. Drive west until the sign post giving directions to the croquet club, cross the stopbank and turn right.
