Positions in the knockout are based on positions achieved in the blocks. Subject to any withdrawals, the allocation for the first 8 players is Block A winner ranked 1, Block B winner ranked 2 and so on. Those second in the blocks are randomly allocated to the next 8 positions, those third are randomly allocated to the following 8 positions, and those 4th are randomly allocated to the last 8 positions. Withdrawals at the end of block play will be replaced by the next player in the sequence, not the next player in the block. Thus if the 2nd player in block B withdrew at the end of block play, the second player in block C would take that place. If there was a withdrawal during block play, then all games of that player would be removed from the block results."
