What turned out to be, in effect the final, was the game in the 7th Round between Chris Clarke & Jenny Williams and Greg Bryant and Paddy Chapman. Greg and Paddy make one hoop before conceding the innings to Chris. While going to 4-back Chris popped the other oppo ball through 1 and then both balls through 2. With the lift missed, Jenny proceeded to complete her first triple of the tournament. This meant Chris Clarke & Jenny Williams went through unbeaten.
Photo: Drama with the Hoops! Paddy Chapman and Jane McIntrye requested two hoops to be reset in their Swiss match, with Paddy claiming the black Barlow ball was getting more and more egg-shaped as the match went on. This incident happened at hoop 4. All Photos on this page coutesy of Jenny Williams, one of two official South Island Championship Photographers. |
